- February 27 - March 1, 2025 (in conjunction with Pullman MTA)
Location:
- Adjudications will take place at the Simpson Methodist Church in Pullman.
- Honors Recital will take place on Sunday, March 2nd at 1:30pm.
Objectives:
- To provide a performance opportunity for area students
- To provide a positive educational experience through comments and interaction given by a knowledgeable adjudicator
- To encourage parental involvement in their children’s piano studies
- To provide an opportunity for area teachers to receive feedback on their teaching
General Guidelines:
- Adjudication is open to all students of Moscow Chapter members (for teachers who are non-members, there is an additional fee of $5 per student)
- Each student is to prepare two published stylistically contrasting pieces in their entirety
- Student’s original composition is not allowed at this time
- Minimum one piece must be memorized; however, it is highly encouraged that both pieces to be memorized
- Original form of printed music, with measure number provided, to be presented to the adjudicator (use of legal photo copied music is permitted, for example from imslp.org)
- Each student will receive both written and oral comments from the adjudicator
- Participating teacher must purchase an evaluation/consultation time (each teacher may choose written evaluation, oral consultation, or both)
- Before the adjudication day, teachers are asked to prepare a schedule and comment sheets (blank forms will be provided)
- COVID guidelines and protocols will be strictly enforced.
Student Levels and Fees:

- The chart below indicates the minimum time for the corresponding level
- Additional time may be purchased at the discretion of the teacher, at $1 per minute
- It is the teacher's responsibility to make sure the total time of performance duration is no more than one third of the purchased adjudication time
- For teachers who are non-members, there is an additional fee of $5 per student
